Drawing on his 40 years of service to Canterbury School, JP Mandler spoke to Sixth Formers at the annual Faculty/Sixth Form Dinner on May 24, 2011.
What memories that brought back – and he has really changed very little since I remember him in 4th form English and later in the class I think he most enjoyed – Shakespeare. I can still see him reading all of the parts in many of the plays as he seemed to channel an inner actor. And, like Mr Sheehy’s son, I continue to thank JP Mandler for teaching me to write all those years ago.
